Koszalin has a philharmonic, a theatre and cinemas. For those who enjoy shopping or as an alternative in bad weather we can recommend three shopping and entertainment centres: Emka, Atriumi Kosmos. We recommend Madagaskar to families with children – a play and games centre for the whole family.
In the municipal park around Góra Chełmska there is the Avana rope park. Participants can enjoy two rope courses of varying difficulty.
Here you can see the Regional Museum, the 14th-century Cathedral and remnants of the medieval defensive walls, as well as an architecturally interesting building – the Koszalin Amphitheatre – situated in a beautiful park in the city centre.
In season numerous events are held in the amphitheatre, including the Summer Review of Polish Cabaret. Koszalin also has a philharmonic, a theatre and cinemas. For those who enjoy shopping or as an alternative in bad weather we can recommend three shopping and entertainment centres: Emka, Atrium and Kosmos. We recommend Madagaskar to families with children – a place with an African-style atmosphere where you can see live exotic animals and play pirates or naturalists. For those without cars, transport to Koszalin is provided by so-called minibuses running year-round every 15–20 minutes. Koszalin is also a transport hub for people using PKP or PKS services.
From the port in Kołobrzeg you can take a 1-2 hour boat trip or visit the Danish island of Bornholm.
Kołobrzeg is also famous for its many historical monuments (the Cathedral, the lighthouse and the beautiful town hall). Kołobrzeg is an attractive spa town near Mielno. From the port in Kołobrzeg you can take a 1-2 hour boat trip or visit the Danish island of Bornholm. Kołobrzeg is also known for numerous monuments, including the famous Cathedral, the lighthouse and the beautiful town hall. Visitors have also taken a liking to the reconstructed Old Town, rebuilt in the old style on the historic street layout — modern yet atmospheric. You can also visit the Museum of Polish Arms and take a walk on the pier. For families with children we recommend a visit to the Zieleniewo Amusement Park, where a host of attractions awaits in the form of themed areas: Western City, Indian Village, the Zoo and the Funfair, and many more.
We recommend a trip to the lighthouse in Gąski. It offers a breathtaking view of the open sea and the small, picturesque settlements along the shore.
For a longer, very attractive trip, it's worth visiting Słowiński National Park. It is one of 250 biosphere reserves, which include the famous shifting sand dunes, forests and lakes. One of them – Łebsko – is the third largest in Poland.
The Archaeological Reserve 'Stone Circles' in Grzybnica is located 20 km south of Koszalin, near the Koszalin–Poznań and Bydgoszcz roads, on the left bank of the Radew River, in a protected landscape area designated for recreation and leisure.
In the Grzybnica Forest five stone circles have been preserved. Each consists of a sandy posthole surrounded by boulders set vertically into the ground at regular intervals. It is worth visiting this extraordinary, ancient site.
The Darłowo Castle is one of the most impressive remnants of the Griffin dynasty, who ruled Pomerania until the mid-17th century. Today the castle is a regional museum worth visiting.
A complex consisting of 28 themed gardens (e.g. forest, rock), created with passion for over 20 years.
