Resort Manager / Operations Manager (Seaside Hotel)
Build the heart of the company with us
Do you have experience managing a shop, restaurant, petrol station or service outlet? If you're tired of routine tasks and are looking for a place where your ideas to improve work organization are not only welcome but genuinely expected, read on.
At EdenSpa we believe that an efficiently run office is the foundation of success, and the person in this position will have a real influence on shaping it. We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to take responsibility, enjoys bringing order to chaos and wants to work in a team where openness, mutual support and a partnership-based relationship with a supervisor who is willing to listen and learn with you matter.
If you don't yet have full managerial experience but feel that this role was made for you? We're open to speaking with candidates whose hunger for knowledge, work ethic and natural organizational skills can compensate for gaps in their CV. Convince us of that in your application.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Experience in the hotel industry is welcome and will be an additional advantage, but it is not a prerequisite.
We are open to managers who have gained operational experience in other dynamic environments. If you currently hold or have held one of the following positions, this announcement is for you:
- Store / Discount Store / Brand Store Manager (you know procedures and can manage shifts and stock).
- Food & Beverage / Restaurant Manager (you know what customer service is and can work under time pressure).
- Petrol Station or Service Point Manager (you understand the importance of standards and document flow).
- Team Leader in Services (you can organize other people's work and take responsibility for it).
ABOUT US: Family values, partnership-based development
We are a family-run, dynamic Resort with a 25-year tradition, entering a new, exciting stage of development. We value calm, order and honest, partnership-based relationships.
We are looking for someone to join us now (in autumn/winter) to get to know the company during the quieter period and prepare for the role of a strategic leader in the summer season.
UNIQUE WORK MODEL (YOUR WORK-LIFE BALANCE)
Our work has two sides. It's an ideal solution for people who value private life and time to "breathe", and who don't like boredom.
🍂 'STRATEGIC' PERIOD (October – April): CALM AND PREPARATION
This is a time for conceptual work and stabilization. We work in an office mode (usually Mon–Fri, 8:00–16:00), with weekends and holidays off for family.
- What you do: You analyze, plan and streamline systems. You prepare the offer, budget and strategy for the summer.
- Goal: This is time to work ON the company. You organize documentation, create procedures and prepare the foundations that will ensure a smooth summer.
☀️ 'OPERATIONAL' PERIOD (May – September): ACTION AND ADRENALINE
This is the "harvest" season. The hotel is buzzing with life, and we work more intensively, on a shift basis.
- What you do: You're at the center of events. You implement the plans prepared earlier.
- Goal: You supervise the operation of the systems you have created, ensure service quality and solve problems before they become crises.
YOUR ROLE: 'Architect' more than 'Firefighter'
The Operations Manager's role is to prevent fires from arising rather than only putting them out.
- Creating and improving work organization: Your task will be to ensure the efficient organization of the office and the facility, taking care of document flow, communication and preparation for the peak sales period.
- Independent handling of administrative matters and project support: You will take responsibility for a wide range of administrative matters, approaching them with initiative and a drive for continuous improvement. You will also be an important support in coordinating internal projects and initiatives, ensuring their smooth progress and effective information flow.
- Proactive approach to challenges and implementing improvements: You will not wait for problems – you will identify, analyze and propose effective solutions. We expect you to actively seek ways to improve our daily work and boldly implement your ideas that will help us operate even better.
- Building relationships and communication: You will become the central point of contact for our key partners, suppliers and the team, building an atmosphere based on trust and professionalism.
- If you're tired of being just an executor of head office procedures and finally want to co-create the rules of the game, rather than just enforce them – with us you'll have the space to do so.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT?
- Operational experience: (Preferably) documented experience in running a retail, service, gastronomy, hotel or similar establishment. Ability to manage processes and a budget.
- Independence, initiative and responsibility: You act independently and proactively – you don't wait for instructions but identify needs, seek solutions and take responsibility for delivering results. You are able to make decisions within agreed frameworks and manage your time and priorities effectively.
- System thinking and organization: You feel uncomfortable when documents are messy. You have a natural knack for analyzing problems and creating simple, working procedures (not unnecessary bureaucracy!).
- Digital proficiency and openness to AI: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is an absolute basic. However, nowadays that's not enough – we're looking for someone who can (or wants to learn to) use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to streamline their work and save time.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
- Real impact and autonomy: We give you space to implement your own ideas and original solutions, without imposing rigid procedures.
- Partnership-based relationship with the boss: We offer open communication and dialogue with the Owner, who is willing to listen to your opinions and trust your competencies.
- Financial and professional stability: Employment contract and year-round employment (we don't lay people off after the season!).
- Salary: Attractive base depending on your experience and competencies + a bonus system linked to seasonal results.
- Investment in your professional and personal development: We offer access to training, courses and industry conferences, as well as the opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills in the dynamic environment of our company. We value people who want to learn and grow, and actively support their aspirations.
